CITIZEN TIP LEADS TO DRUG BUST IN MADISONVILLE

MONROE COUNTY, TN -On Thursday, April 11th, agents with the Monroe CountySheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant following an investigation into the illegal distribution of methamphetamine in the Gibson Road area of Madisonville.

The investigation began after a concerned citizen reported suspicious activity at a residence on Gibson Road. Through investigative efforts, agents developed probable cause and obtained a search warrant for the home.

During the search, agents located felony amounts of methamphetamine packaged for resale. In addition, a variety of other illegal substances were discovered, including prescription medications and marijuana. Agents also recovered items commonly associated with the distribution of illicit drugs, such as digital scales and corner-cut baggies, along with glass pipes and cash currency.

One individual was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Jail, where they are currently being held without bond. Charges include:

Possession of Schedule II Methamphetamine for Resale
Possession of Schedule II Buprenorphine for Resale
Simple possession of Schedule IV Alprazolam
Simple possession of Marijuana
Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia
